On 22 October 2026, the Permanent Mission of Thailand welcomed 15 high school students from Pathway Academy of Technology and Design, who will represent Thailand at the 74th annual Model United Nations (MUN) conference in Connecticut in November.
Having participated in an MUN while in a university himself, Ambassador Cherdchai Chaivaivid encouraged the students to make the most out of the briefing in order to represent Thailand with confidence, balance, and credibility. Mr. John Hayes, the teacher who led the group, appreciated the opportunity as he also worked to guide the students to represent Thailand with accuracy.

The Mission’s experts shared Thailand’s perspectives and positions in key issues across the three pillars of peace and security, development and human rights, grounded by the country’s adherence to international law. The students showed their dedication to research about the country through the interactive Q&A session.
The Thai Mission views that empowering youth to discern global affairs at a young age means a better chance for the world to tackle future global challenges. The session is part of that undertaking as well as the Mission’s public diplomacy efforts.
