On 30 January 2026, Ambassador and Permanent Representative Cherdchai Chaivaivid presided over the Satamawan ceremony or a merit-making ceremony to mark the one hundredth day of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, at the Permanent Mission of Thailand to the United Nations in New York.

Ms. Somjai Taphaopong, Consul General in New York, officers and spouses from both offices as well as Team Thailand colleagues were present at the ceremony to express their deep gratitude to Her Majesty the late Queen Mother.
