On 12 December 2025, Mr. Vathayudh Vichankaiyakij, Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, attended the Panyasamawan ceremony or a merit-making ceremony to mark the fiftieth day of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother at Vajiradhammapadip Temple, Long Island, New York. The ceremony was presided over by Ms. Somjai Taphaopong, Consul General in New York. The officers and spouses from both offices as well as Team Thailand joined the ceremony to express their profound gratitude to Her Majesty the late Queen’s great benevolence.
