                          On 28 September 2018, H.E. Mr. Thani Thongphakdi, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, had a bilateral meeting with Mr. Jorge Chediek, Envoy of the Secretary-General on South-South Cooperation and Director of United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC), on the sideline of the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA73). The Deputy Permanent Secretary discussed on various issues including the expansion of collaboration between Thailand and UNOSSC to promote South-South Cooperation, which Thailand is keen to share Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) for sustainable development and ASEAN’s success story for regional integration, as well as Thailand’s role during the Chairmanship of ASEAN in 2019 and at the UN High-Level Conference on South-South Cooperation or BAPA+40 in March 2019. To further bring tangible outcome and make more impact on the ground through South-South Cooperation, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand approves the contribution of USD 50,000 to the United Nations Fund for South-South Cooperation (UNFSSC), which the UNOSSC Director expressed his sincere appreciation for Thailand ‘s consistent support.
