On 1 August 2025, H.E. Mr. Cherdchai Chaivaivid, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations, led officials and staff members to join the Soup Kitchen program of the Mainchance Drop-In Center located in the same neighborhood as the Mission's Office. A 24/7 shelter in Manhattan, the Mainchance Drop-In Center is operated by Grand Central Neighborhood Social Services Corporation (GCNSSC).
