The Mission has closely monitored the flood situation in the southern region with great concern. It extends heartfelt support to both the victims and those providing assistance to those in distress.
The Mission officers and staff members made a donation to relieve those affected by the flood through Prince of Songkla University. The Mission commends the University for taking a timely initiative in serving as a main shelter for flood victims. The donation is also a voluntary act as a tribute to the birthday anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, the National Day, and Father's Day on December 5, 2025.
The Permanent Mission of Thailand places great importance on reducing risks and preventing losses from all forms of disasters. Thailand has consistently played an active role on this issue at the United Nations, in line with the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030 (SFDRR) and the Sendai Declaration. It also actively participates in ongoing negotiations leading to a legally biding agreement on the protection of persons in the event of disasters.
