On 23 October 2018, H.E. Mr. Vitavas Srivihok, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations in New York together with Mr. Nipon Petchpornprapas, Consul General of Thailand to New York, presided over a commemorative ceremony of the passing of King Chulalongkorn (King Rama V) at the Thai Residence. The ceremony, convened in recognition of King Chilalongkorn’s graciousness to the people of Thailand throughout his 42-year reign (1868 - 1910), was attended by officers from various offices of the Royal Thai Government in New York and their spouses.
