Thailand’s positions before the Sixth Committee and other legal matters in UNGA

          Thailand believes in the vital role international law plays in maintaining international peace and security, enhancing and promoting human rights as well as building international community which is conducive for sustainable development. Thailand respects and adheres to international law and international obligations which are binding upon it.

          Regarding its contribution to identification and codification of international law, as well as progressive development of international law, apart from taking part actively in the debates of the Sixth Committee of the United Nations General Assembly and other related meetings and discussions, Thailand is also a current member of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law and H.E. Ambassador Kriangsak Kittichaisaree of Thailand is currently a member of the International Law Commission.
