On 25 May 2023, His Excellency Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations, and Senior Colonel Thoetsak Jaiaree, Military Advisor, attended the medal ceremony in honour of United Nations peacekeepers on the occasion of the International Day of Peacekeepers (29 May). The ceremony was held at the General Assembly Hall, United Nations Headquarters, and presided over by Mr. António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations. The ceremony this year also marks the 75th anniversary of United Nations Peacekeeping Operations.
