H.E. Mr. Vitavas Srivihok, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations attended the handover ceremony of the Chairmanship of the Group of 77 today in a virtual format.

In his address, Ambassador Srivihok congratulates and welcomes the Republic of Guinea for assuming the chairmanship of the Group of 77 in 2021. He also commends Guyana for their leadership and hard work in the past year. 

Joining the ceremony were H.E. Mr. Hugh Hilton Todd, Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, on behalf of the Chair country of the Group of 77 for 2020, H.E. Mr. Mamadi Touré, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Guineans Living Abroad of the Republic of Guinea, on behalf of the Chair country of the Group of 77 for 2021, H.E. Mr. Volkan Bozkir, PGA75, and H.E. Mr. António Guterres, Secretary-General.
