On the occasion of the 86th Birthday Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, wife of the late King Rama IX, and Thailand's Mother's Day on Sunday 12 August 2018,  H.E. Mr. Vitavas Srivihok, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations, New York presided over the celebration, merit making ceremony, and social activities at Vajiradhammapadhip Temple, Long Island, New York. The event was organised by the Royal Thai Consulate General in New York and participated by nearly 100 people who are officers from various offices of the Royal Thai Government in New York, their spouses, and members of the Thai communities in New York and surrounding areas.  ​
