Mr. Vitavas Srivihok, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations in New York, delivered Thailand’s statements in several thematic sessions, such as “Protecting and advancing human wellbeing and ending poverty”, “Protecting the planet and building resilience”, and “Multilateralism after COVID-19”.

Thailand, together with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Group of Friends of Universal Health Coverage and Global Health, organised a side event focusing on Universal Health Coverage.
Ambassador Vitavas and Dr. Sakchai Kanjanawatana, Secretary-General, National Health Security Office of Thailand featured as speakers.

Ms. Sharinee Shannon Kalayanamitr, represented Thai private sector as a panelist in the session on “Mobilizing well directed financing” and proposed recommendations for better coordination between the public and private sectors in the promotion of financial inclusion, sustainable business models, women entrepreneur empowerment, and the use of technology to reduce inequalities.

Mr. Nadhavathna Krishnamra, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations, spoke in the plenary of the Global Technical Meeting (GTM2020)

Ms. Wanalee Lochpechra, Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Organizations, participated in the Regional Breakout Session for Asia and the Pacific of the Global Technical Meeting (GTM2020).
